The new Supermeow!
I’ve been home sick for the past couple days and I have finally finished the fancy new WordPress theme that I’ve been working on for the past couple of months, and I’m fairly proud of it. Fairly. It’s always a good feeling when you pick up a new skill set! I made use of some fun CSS3 stuff, like web fonts by way of Typekit. I did as much debugging as I could, but I’m sure I’ll find problems. We’ll see.
In other news, I’ve been thinking about startin’ up my own business. Just thinking, really. I don’t think I’d be able to get what I’d like to do off the ground any time in the immediate future. Via the National MS Society, I’m taking a web-based class online that will teach people with disabilities about having their own gig. So far, so good! Lots of interesting stuff learned.
The idea I’ve got in mind is a retail-type idea, and I’d like to open my doors in Brockton, where I live. Brockton’s leaders are dying for people to open up businesses on Main Street and seem to be ready to throw money at people with ideas. I think the idea I have isn’t a bad one, but it needs to be researched thoroughly. This is my livelihood, after all.
Anyhow, I’m feeling kind of crummy/stuffy, and I’m hoping to try to go back to work tomorrow, so I’m going to go take my meds and snooze (or maybe watch Stephen Colbert until I snooze).
